StatementMy projects take form in drawing, photography, installation and video, utilized as registries of various appropriations and meta-fictions, as well as in tactical curatorial exercises – or micro-fascisms – fashioned as mobile distribution platforms to generate specific processes and dynamics among individuals. A discourse is built from the use and abuse of these production strategies, which is integral to the final understanding of the work itself. My interest unfolds in the shape of an investigation of mass-media and the entertainment industry as a zen-like process in a space where reality itself is distorted or reconstructed, working from the surface to summon the deep. Essentially, I create situations that constitute beautiful objects and, at the same time, are intellectually disruptive. In this way, my intention is to operate as a human being who uses his environment to survive, executing tactics in the De Certeau sense, in which the subject investigates the resources that fit best his objective. These tactics revolve around constant syntactic reconfiguration of parody and analysis of the fatal consequences of post-modernity, establishing sympathetic moments of resistance in the privatized territory of the spectacle. The results refer to the solitude of the human being, mental conversations, cyclical history, and cynicism as an approach to knowledge.
