The 2010 Biennial of the Americas is an international event that celebrates the culture, ideas and people of the Western Hemisphere, hosted by the City of Denver.

BiographyAn author and Indigenous activist, her published works include literary titles and academic writing on a wide variety of Indigenous issues. Awarded the 2003 EcoTrust Buffett Award for Indigenous Leadership, she is distinguished with Honorary Doctorate's from University of St. Thomas, UBC and the University of Queens and is a Lifetime Fellow of Okanagan College in 2008. She is the Executive Director of En'owkin Centre, cultural research and education centre of the Okanagan Nation. She is an Indigenous Studies faculty at UBC Okanagan. She has a PhD in Environmental Ethics and Syilx Indigenous Literatures and serves on Environment Canada's Traditional Knowledge Subcommittee.
