| Biography | Joseph J. Tanke earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at Boston College, where he was twice awarded university-wide recognition for teaching excellence. He is currently the Chalsty Professor of Aesthetics and Philosophy at California College of the Arts in San Francisco and Oakland. Joseph has published and lectured extensively on issues in Continental philosophy and the history of philosophy, with a special emphasis on aesthetics and politics. In addition to having studied philosophy in both the United States and Europe, Joseph holds a degree in art history and has worked for several art institutions. |
