This week, CultureHop is taking us to Rogala Design, a Denver-based interior design studio and boutique founded by Amy Rogala. With sustainability, creativity, and beauty at the heart of her work, Amy breathes new life into old materials, transforming them into vibrant, functional pieces that re-energize living spaces.

Amy's journey began in 2009 when she was tasked with selecting finishes for her family's new home. This experience ignited her passion for design, leading her to create custom furniture from marble remnants and reclaimed wood. As her collection of handcrafted pieces grew, Amy opened Rogala Design in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, expanding her creative practice to share her unique vision with the community. 

Today, Rogala Design thrives as a woman-owned small business that seamlessly blends sustainability, artistry, and collaboration. The studio offers a curated selection of home goods, including upcycled antiques, handcrafted furniture, and locally sourced art, all reflecting Amy's commitment to conscious design.

About CultureHop: 

The Biennial of the Americas' CultureHop program is designed to bring Culture Club members closer to the vibrant art and cultural scenes across the Americas right here in Denver. CultureHop invites participants to join curated Friday morning tours of artist studios, galleries, museums, and cultural spaces. Each week, members will "hop" between different creative venues, offering them an intimate and behind-the-scenes experience with local artists, curators, and cultural leaders. Meetups will feature coffee and pastries from local coffee shops. 

The program provides a unique opportunity to engage with local artists, spaces and galleries to explore diverse cultural expressions, and foster meaningful connections within the arts community. It's a great way for art enthusiasts and cultural explorers to stay connected to the creative pulse of Denver and build greater appreciation for the Americas.
