Transit-Oriented Communities Director | Hatch
Michael brings together urban planning and design, economics, transportation, and engineering. He is a recognized expert in Transit Oriented Development (TOD) and cities. He collaborates globally as Hatch’s global lead for TOCs and TODs in Australia, UAE, UK, and North America.
Prior to joining Hatch almost nine years ago, Michael developed the business case process for Metrolinx, developed programs like the GO Expansion program using the business case method, and helped advance TODs by initiating CIBC Square—Toronto and Canada’s new best office complex.
Michael holds degrees in Civil Engineering from Queen’s, Cities from LSE in London, and Law from the University of Toronto.
