Thomas Bryan
Executive Director & CEO | Colorado Housing and Finance Authority
Mr. Bryan was appointed on March 1, 2025, as Executive Director and CEO for the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) after serving as Chief Financial Officer since May 2019. Mr. Bryan joined CHFA in 2014 where he served as Controller/Director of Accounting. As CEO, Thomas oversees the organization's strategic planning and innovation activities and has oversight responsibility for CHFA's business operations, which include single family lending programs, multi-family development and lending programs, and economic development activities throughout the State of Colorado.
In its 50-year history, CHFA has invested more than $37 billion to support affordable housing and community development throughout Colorado. In that time, CHFA’s resources helped more than 150,000 Coloradans achieve their dreams of homeownership, over 80,000 affordable rental housing units have been developed or preserved and provided homebuyer education to over 190,000 households. CHFA has also provided financing programs to support over 9,500 small businesses, which have created or retained more than 88,000 jobs.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration Degree. Thomas has also graduated from the Government Finance Officer Association’s Advanced Government Finance Institute hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the National Council of State Housing Agencies’ Advanced Executive Leadership Program hosted by the University of Notre Dame, and the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s Leadership Denver program.
Thomas holds an active CPA license in the State of Colorado and is currently a member of the Colorado Society of CPAs, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Government Finance Officers Association, and the National Council of State Housing Agencies.
In his spare time Thomas serves on various nonprofit and community boards, including the Colorado Middle Income Housing Authority, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado, and Hope Communities.
