Amélie Thuy Nguyen is a local Vancouver restaurateur and creative. With a Bachelor in Human Biological Sciences and Master of Global Public Health, she has worked in various countries and contexts, in health policy, health equity and community engagement. Amélie co-founded one of Vancouver's hottest and beloved 3 x Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants, Anh and Chi, and their lat coktail bar Good Thief. She is passionate to gather and amplify IBPOC stories through community collaborations, creative arts, film, and food -- starting with her family's heirloom recipes. Amelie recently founded storytelling agency, The Colour Yellow, and provisions arm of her family’s business - Me's Marketplace by Anh and Chi - crafting small batch, locally-made artisanal sauces for retail across North America. During her free time, she writes, directs and hosts culinary and neighbourhood tours, and spends the rest of her time outdoors with her two daughters skiing, biking and eating their way around the world.
