Laura Weinberg

Laura Weinberg is serving her second four-year term as Mayor of Golden, Colorado, following six years on the Golden City Council. She is a recognized leader in regional and national municipal policy, serving as Past Chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus, a member of the National League of Cities Executive Board, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Colorado Municipal League Executive Board.

During her tenure, Mayor Weinberg has championed transformative initiatives, leading to the adoption of Golden’s first Strategic Action Plan, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Plan, and Arts & Culture Master Plan. Her leadership helped secure approval for critical investments in public safety and sustainability, including funding for the Fire Department, a new net-zero police and municipal facility, and measures to address the impacts of tourism.

Mayor Weinberg holds a B.A. from Brown University and an M.B.A. from the University of Denver. Before entering public service, she worked in technology within the financial services sector.
