Hall of Fame U.S. Goalkeeper, Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist, & World Cup Champion

Briana Scurry is one of the most influential goalkeepers in U.S. history, with 173 international appearances for the U.S. Women’s National Team, two Olympic gold medals, and a World Cup victory. Her legendary penalty kick save in the 1999 FIFA World Cup remains one of the most iconic moments in American sports.

After a career-ending concussion, she became a leading voice for brain injury awareness and continues to inspire through her memoir My Greatest Save and the CBS documentary The Only.

Her legacy is celebrated in the National Soccer Hall of Fame, the U.S. Women’s National Team All-Time Best XI, and the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
