Artist Bio:
Adam Geluda Gildar is a Denver-based artist. A recurring theme in Geluda Gildar's work is the deconstruction of linear time and narrative as a gateway into expanded perceptions of reality. They work with a diverse array of media from painting, collage and sculpture, to installations and participatory performances. The diversity of materials and gestures in their work comes together in multi-sensory installations highlighting the interdependence of apparent binaries such as alienation and communion, grief and joy, and memory and forgetting. Within these environments distinctions blur between mediums, roles and where the art begins and ends.
Geluda Gildar's recent exhibitions include Time After Time (Lane Meyer Projects, 2024), a series of endurance karaoke performances as part of their collective Adam GG & the Right On Time, as well as the solo exhibition Timequake: Between the River and the Sea (Colorado State University, 2025), an installation (pictured) engaging the looping violence over land in the Levant. A recent iteration of the work, Give Me Shelter, is on view through September 18 at Emmanuel Gallery as part of the Colorado 150th anniversary exhibition. A recent solo exhibition, Teach Me To Disappear (Smith & Drake, 2026), focused on the multitudes contained within a single self. A forthcoming performance installation titled As Time Goes By will be on display at the Arvada Center running September 10 – November 8, 2026, as part of the institution's 50th anniversary exhibition.
