This is a special CultureHop where we’ll experience two dynamic creative spaces in one morning: Understudy Art Incubator and the CU Denver Experience Gallery!

Schedule

10:00 AM – Meet at Understudy + explore Taste Test
10:25 AM – Walk together to CU Denver Experience Gallery (approx. 4 minutes)
10:30 AM – Experience Gallery visit and discussion

We’ll begin at Understudy, a 700-square-foot arts and culture incubator located inside the Colorado Convention Center. A program of the Denver Theatre District, Understudy offers a free, central platform for artists and creative groups to experiment, test ideas, and explore new work. We’ll spend time with the current exhibition Taste Test, learning more about the artists and ideas shaping the region’s art scene right now.

From there, we’ll take a short walk to the CU Denver Experience Gallery, an immersive and interactive gallery located in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. A collaboration between the University of Colorado Denver and Denver Arts & Venues, the Experience Gallery partners with artists and cultural institutions to explore cutting-edge creative technologies and timely contemporary work.
