CultureHop: Museum of Outdoor Arts

This week, we are excited to have a CultureHop visit the Museum of Outdoor Arts and learn more about their sculpture park, Majorie Park, as well as explore their Cabinet of Curiosities and Impossibilities installation.

About MOA: About MOA

Founded in 1981 by Cynthia Madden Leitner and John and Marjorie Madden, Museum of Outdoor Arts(MOA) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to making the visual and performing arts accessible to everyone by implementing its mission of “Making Art a Part of Everyday Life.”

MOA owns and operates Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre in collaboration with its tenant AEG Presents and features more than 150 pieces in its permanent collection. Additionally, MOA hosts temporary outdoor exhibitions periodically, an artist in residence program and its signature education program, Design and Build, an annual opportunity for young artists, students, and creative minds to work with professional artists on collaborative art projects.

MOA is a forerunner in the placement of site-specific sculpture in Colorado. MOA’s art collection is located within various public locations throughout the Denver metro area. From commercial office parks to botanic gardens, city parks and traditional sculpture gardens, art is placed to interpret space as “a museum without walls.”

About CultureHop:

The Biennial of the Americas' CultureHop program is designed to bring Culture Club members closer to the vibrant art and cultural scenes across the Americas right here in Denver. CultureHop invites participants to join curated Friday morning tours of artist studios, galleries, museums, and cultural spaces. Each week, members will "hop" between different creative venues, offering them an intimate and behind-the-scenes experience with local artists, curators, and cultural leaders. Meetups will feature coffee and pastries from local coffee shops.

The program provides a unique opportunity to engage with local artists, spaces and galleries to explore diverse cultural expressions, and foster meaningful connections within the arts community. It's a great way for art enthusiasts and cultural explorers to stay connected to the creative pulse of Denver and build greater appreciation for the Americas.

This is a Culture Club Member Event. If you would like to become a member and hop along with us, join today!
