William (Bill) Peffer is a Partner at Taft and Chairs Taft’s Mountain West Business group, leading over forty exceptional transactional attorneys across eight offices. Bill’s personal practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, commercial lending, corporate finance, and general corporate matters.

With over seventeen years of experience doing deals, Bill has represented over 500 buyers, sellers, borrowers, and lenders in all types of transactions, and brings a pragmatic and closing-oriented approach to each deal. In addition to serving as transaction counsel, he also serves as outside general counsel for several privately held businesses.

Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bill lives in South Denver with his wife Mary Beth who he met while attending college in Boulder, and their two daughters Allison (7) and Isabel (5). In his increasingly diminishing free time, Bill enjoys playing basketball, mountain biking, skiing, cooking, and cheering on his Hawkeyes and Buffaloes. Bill is honored to currently serve on the Board of Directors of MENTOR Colorado and the Biennial of the Americas.
