Danielle Oliveto

Deputy Chief of Staff
Danielle Oliveto is a Colorado-based public servant and civic leader with more than a decade of experience in government, operations, events, fundraising and community engagement. She currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Governor Jared Polis, where she oversees internal operations and helps lead community engagement efforts across the state. In this role, she works across agencies and stakeholders to support the Governor’s policy agenda and strengthen connections between state government and Colorado communities.
Oliveto has worked with Governor Polis in various capacities since 2008, beginning as a field organizer during his first campaign for Congress. She later served in multiple roles in his congressional office, including staff assistant, executive assistant, scheduler, and deputy communications director. After returning to Colorado, she managed Polis’s 2014 congressional campaign before relocating to San Francisco, where she worked on climate, transportation, and housing policy initiatives.
In 2019, Oliveto returned to Colorado to join the Governor’s Office as Deputy Chief of Staff. She has played a key role in coordinating operations and engagement across the administration, including statewide outreach and cross-sector initiatives.
Oliveto is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder and is active in civic and cultural organizations throughout the state. She serves on the boards of the Biennial of the Americas, Civic Center Conservancy, and Take Note Colorado, and has contributed to statewide initiatives including Colorado’s anniversary commissions and civic programming.
