The Colorado
International
Caucus

launched by Representative Matthew Soper, tha Caucus is a bipartisan forum for Colorado legislators to engage the world — building the relationships, knowledge, and partnerships that position Colorado as a global leader in trade, diplomacy, and international cooperation.

WHY IT MATTERS

Colorado’s economy and communities are deeply connected to the world. International trade, foreign investment and global supply chains support major Colorado industries including aerospace, agriculture, clean energy and technology, while the state’s population reflects ties across the Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa and beyond.

Governor Jared Polis signs a proclamation during Colorado International Day on May 12, 2026, alongside the launch of the Colorado International Caucus.

What the Caucus Does

Build bipartisan relationships around shared international interests.

Deepen understanding of Colorado’s trade, investment and global economic ties.

Engage with international businesses, diplomats, universities and civic organizations.

Gain firsthand global context through briefings, exchanges and visiting delegations.

The Biennial of the Americas serves as a key convening partner for the caucus, helping connect legislators with business, civic and cultural leaders through events including the annual Legislators Roundtable and other international engagement opportunities.
