Biennial Culture CLub Presents
2026 Culture Trip
Guatemala
Biennial of the Americas held the 2026 Culture Trip to Guatemala City, Guatemala from January 15 to January 18, 2026. As a crossroads of ancient tradition and contemporary creativity, Guatemala offers a profound experience of cultural depth and artistic expression. Our curated journey guided Culture Club members through Guatemala City’s colorful creative scene, with intimate encounters ranging from artist studio visits and gallery tours to conversations with cultural leaders who are shaping Guatemala’s evolving place in the global arts landscape.
Timed to coincide with the 24ᵃ Bienal de Arte Paiz, the oldest and most celebrated biennial in Central America, this immersive trip highlighted a core part of Guatemala’s contemporary art scene while also offering a taste of what makes the country so unique and special. Delegates enjoyed a diverse itinerary, including private access to cultural events, curated dining experiences that celebrated Guatemala’s rich culinary traditions, and opportunities to connect with artists, curators, and fellow travelers at the heart of the region’s cultural exchange. We also encouraged everyone to explore the marvels of the country beyond our weekend together!
We experienced an amazing week of the living dialogue between history, art, and community in one of Latin America’s most exciting creative cities.
