Gretchen Hollrah

Gretchen is a veteran city official in Denver with wide-reaching experience and expertise in a variety of agencies and departments. Prior to rejoining the City, she most recently was the Chief Operating Officer at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). Prior to joining the DCPA, Gretchen served the City and County of Denver for 18 years, overseeing the National Western Center, and serving as both the city’s Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Denver Chief Projects Officer simultaneously. Her first role in Denver city government was at the Denver Department of Public Works (now Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure) as a city planner focused on multi-modal transportation initiatives and budget. Gretchen began her career as a city planner for the City of New York and continued in the private sector at Wilbur Smith Associates in San Francisco, CA, before her career in Denver. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of Michigan.
