Coffee as Culture: The Stories behind what we consume

Join Culture Club for a thoughtful morning exploring coffee as culture, craft, and connection through the lens of Panama. Hosted at Sie FilmCenter, this special gathering begins with a tasting of Panamanian Geisha coffee, which members are invited to enjoy as they settle into the theater for a screening of Higher Grounds—a film examining the global coffee trade and the relationships behind it.

Following the screening, guests will take part in a post-film discussion with Denver-based film critic and cultural commentator Lisa Kennedy and Phil Goodlaxson, owner of Corvus Coffee Roasters, unpacking themes of origin, craftsmanship, and connection.

This experience invites us to slow down, listen closely, and connect through the stories behind what we consume.
