Horizon Drift

Rachel Hayes

Horizon Drift is a large-scale, textile-based public art installation by Tulsa artist Rachel Hayes, presented by the Biennial of the Americas with artistic direction by Black Cube Nomadic Art Museum. Designed specifically for Denver’s Plaza of the Americas, the work canopies the plaza with vibrant, handmade fabric panels that respond to Colorado’s colorscape. Their shifting colors, opacities, and textures interact with the surrounding architecture and natural light, transforming the space into a dynamic window to the city’s environment.
