CANDY STORE

CANDY STORE was an experimental exhibition by Denver-based artist Jonathan Saiz, presented as part of the 2025 Biennial of the Americas Festival. For the project, Saiz collaborated with 22 Colorado artists, transforming their work into miniature editions displayed in a playful, candy shop-inspired installation.
Featuring roughly 2,000 small-scale artworks, the exhibition reimagined the traditional gallery experience as something more accessible, informal, and participatory. Visitors could browse the works as they might browse a candy store, with pieces priced from approximately $20 to $100.
By shrinking the scale—and the price point—of collecting art, CANDY STORE challenged ideas around exclusivity and ownership in the art world while creating an approachable way for new collectors to take home original work by Colorado artists.
The featured artists included Vinni Alfonso, Linda G.
