Skyline Cloud

Skyline Cloud was a temporary public installation by Plan:B Arquitectos, created for the 2013 Biennial of the Americas Draft Urbanism exhibition. Installed in Denver’s Skyline Park, the project introduced a series of lightweight, inverted umbrella-like structures that formed a temporary shaded “cloud” over an underused section of the park.
Designed somewhere between architecture and urban furniture, the modular structures created space for resting, reading, gathering, and public events, with solar-powered lighting extending their use into the evening.
Skyline Cloud explored how temporary architecture could activate overlooked public space and create new possibilities for gathering, recreation, and civic life.
