Kay Cowling is an experienced leader, board director, and change agent committed to fostering positive workplace cultures across workforce solutions, healthcare services, and staffing organizations. She values helping others reach their potential while supporting organizational and shareholder goals. Kay has advised CEOs, Boards of Directors, and executive teams, focusing on leadership development, strategic planning, organizational design, talent acquisition and retention, and technology solutions. She maintains a particular interest in healthcare services, behavioral health, longevity, aging preparedness, and new technologies that support these areas.


Currently, Kay serves as a Governor-appointed Commissioner for the Commission on Aging and is a board member at Barton Associates, one of the nation's largest physician staffing firms, and at Boulder-based nVoq, an AI-enabled speech recognition provider for hospice and home health care. Her previous roles include Past President of the International Women’s Forum of Colorado, board member of Care Synergy/The Denver Hospice, and board member of the Colorado Department of Human Services. Before moving to Colorado in 2010, she led a start-up accounting and finance staffing company, which is now one of the largest in the US, and was involved in nonprofit and community leadership in Florida and Oklahoma.


Kay is married to John and enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and traveling. She is a supporter of the Denver Botanic Gardens, the Denver Art Museum, Wonderbound contemporary ballet, and numerous other worthy causes in Denver.
